CAR RENTAL AGREEMENT


Between Rent a Car Dielli and the Renter

Upon taking possession of the vehicle, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the rental contract. This contract includes the rental period, pricing, vehicle details, driver information, and the company responsible for payment. By signing the contract, the renter is authorized to drive the rented vehicle and is responsible for it during the agreed rental period. Any changes to the rental conditions or terms must be approved by Rent a Car Dielli. If the renter violates the agreed terms, Rent a Car Dielli reserves the right to charge a penalty of at least €150 per day. The rental contract serves as the basis for settling the rental costs and any additional expenses.

Vehicle Pickup and Return

The vehicle can be picked up or returned either at our office or at a previously agreed location. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was picked up. Any missing fuel will be charged based on our current rates. The vehicle must also be returned clean, in good technical condition, and without damage, as stated in the vehicle condition form.

A late return exceeding 30 minutes will incur an extra charge of €10 per hour, and after a certain point, it may be reported as a stolen vehicle. If you experience any problems, please contact Rent a Car Dielli for assistance (additional charges may apply). If the vehicle is not returned clean, a cleaning fee of €5.00 will be applied.

Interior damages are not covered by insurance and must be paid by the renter. The vehicles are insured with comprehensive coverage (Kasko), and your liability is determined by the contract. Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking, and in case of lost contact, we have the right to track the vehicle’s location.

Prohibited and Unauthorized Vehicle Use

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Drive the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances. In this case, insurance will not apply, and the renter will be responsible for the full amount of any damage or theft.
  • Allow unauthorized persons (those not listed in the rental agreement) to drive the vehicle. Insurance will not apply in this case either, and the renter will be liable for all damages or theft.
  • Perform any repairs, servicing, or part replacements on the vehicle without authorization.
  • Participate in races, rally events, or any form of testing.
  • Use the vehicle for transporting animals, furniture, building materials, or any goods that emit strong odors.

Rent a Car Dielli is a registered company that rents vehicles for passenger transport only. The number of passengers must not exceed the allowed capacity of the rented vehicle. It is also forbidden to open the hood of the vehicle under any circumstances.

Police Report Requirement for All Insurance Claims

A police report is mandatory for all insurance claims, regardless of the type of insurance purchased. Without a police report, the renter is responsible for covering any damage or theft, even if insurance has been paid. A police report must also be filed in cases where the renter was not present at the time of the incident (e.g., if the vehicle is damaged in a parking lot).

If the police are unable to attend the scene, please go to the nearest police station to file a report of the damage or theft.

Procedure in Case of Theft or Damage

In the event of theft or damage, the renter is required to:

  1. Immediately notify the police and Rent a Car Dielli and follow their instructions.
  2. Record the details of any other parties involved in the accident/incident.
  3. Complete an accident/damage/theft report when returning the vehicle.
  4. Write a statement describing the circumstances and causes of the accident/damage/theft.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

Rent a Car Dielli offers 24/7 roadside assistance in case of a breakdown. You can call us at any time, and we will either repair or replace the vehicle.

Driver’s License Requirements

The renter must have a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year, and the minimum age for renting is 20 years.

Contract

The contract is prepared in two identical copies, one for the renter and one for Rent a Car Dielli.
